Medical Neurofeedback

Treatable diseases with Medical Neurofeedback

  • ADHD/ADD

Neurofeedback has been used to treat both ADD and ADHD for decades. In many cases, existing medication can be significantly reduced and often even stopped completely. The therapeutic effect is often noticeable after just a few sessions and can last a lifetime. The trainee learns better and more voluntary control over his mental and physical activity. This is possible for both affected children and adults.

  • Depression

Depression often goes undetected for a long time or is only very mild. Nevertheless, it has a strong impact on well-being. In addition, specific starting points are difficult to find and treat. Medical treatment is often an important first step. As an additional or even sole therapeutic approach, neurofeedback can identify, break down and specifically treat internal blockages and imbalances. Neurofeedback is thus able to work through unconscious problem areas, improve body awareness and sleep, and stabilize emotional balance again.

  • Burnout

Neurofeedback training not only enables the reduction of existing stress and the associated limitations, but can also be used for prevention. As part of prevention, the early stages of burnout can be localized and treated, and resistance to further stress and the ability to relax can be improved.

  • Epilepsy

The treatment of epilepsy was the birth of neurofeedback therapy. Neurofeedback training has been constantly improving for 50 years. The brain is trained so that epileptic seizures occur less frequently or, in some cases, not at all. The occurrence of auras can also be reduced and, as a side effect, attention can be improved. Here too, medication can be reduced or discontinued in many cases during the course of training.

  • PTSD

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) can arise from events that have happened to you or that you have witnessed. Whether it is an accident, a family tragedy or even military deployment, such trauma can manifest itself in many different ways. Neurofeedback can help overcome internal barriers and work through them in the long term, particularly in close cooperation with talk therapy or trauma therapy.

  • Migraine

10 to 15% of the world's population suffer from migraines. Anyone who suffers from them knows that medication can often only partially relieve the pain. With special neurofeedback training, which has been specifically developed for migraine sufferers, it is possible to significantly reduce the frequency of migraine attacks or stop them completely. Migraines with accompanying aura can also be treated with neurofeedback.

  • Chronic stress

Permanent pressure situations will sooner or later have a significant impact on the quality of life. Neurofeedback can treat chronic stress and also help people to become aware of different stress conditions. This will help you to identify stressful situations more quickly in the future and thus actively counteract them.

  • Autism

Autism is primarily evident in social communication and interaction, but also in limited and repetitive behavioral patterns. Those affected often find it more difficult to build relationships with other people than people without autism. Other problems are evident in their emotionality and the expression of their own interests and feelings, or generally with non-verbal communication. They can also be inflexible when it comes to changes, prefer familiar processes and routines and want to stick to them.

  • Sleep disorders

Restful sleep is essential for performance and the quality of life that comes with it. Neurofeedback makes it possible to train the brain so that it can switch to a relaxation phase more quickly and efficiently and thus fall asleep better. In addition, the brain is taught to stay in the regeneration phase of sleep for longer, which leads to healthier and more restful sleep overall.

  • Dyslexia

Dyslexia, also known as reading and writing difficulties (LRS), can lead to learning problems at school at a young age. But even as an adult, LRS causes limitations in many situations and often also shame. We can support children and adults with neurofeedback by specifically training the language center. This can improve reading and writing skills.Dyslexia, also known as reading and writing difficulties (LRS), can lead to learning problems at school at a young age. • Anxiety and panic attacks

Anxiety and panic attacks often occur after traumatic experiences, but in many cases also without any obvious reason. The exact timing of these attacks is also often unpredictable. Neurofeedback treatment can help here. It is possible to break down subconscious fears or worries and treat them in this way. This is often the first way to gain access to the origin of the anxiety/panic attacks.
